WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) is expected to release a “qualitative assessment” of one-size-fits-all health care in response to a request from House Democrats in January. Notably, the CBO report “will not be a formal score,” despite several independent studies, including those from George Mason University’s Mercatus Center and the Urban Institute, estimating the proposal will cost at least $32 trillion.
